I first met with Meaghan & Mike in early January in a quaint, local coffee shop with a cozy seating area by a fire place which was perfect for that winter day. I could feel a connection with the two of them right away. At the time all I knew about their wedding is that it was September 24th and their colors were navy with hints of rich plum and gold.
As the year progressed I learned that they had planned an elegant tent wedding on the outskirts of Winnipeg on family property. But this wasn’t your average tent wedding, no. Meaghan & Mike had rented the only clear wedding tent available in Winnipeg complete with flooring and chandeliers from D’Lite Productions with linens from Touch of Glass. They had enlisted in the talented Melanie Parent from Melanie Parent Events whom I had been dying to work with for a while. Their cake was created by the magnificent Cake Studio which brought elements from the outdoors in to their decor. (and it tasted AMAZING) The perfectly arranged florals were created by Oak and Lily. Mike’s suit was created by the uber talented Eph Apparel and Meaghan’s incredible, delicate, lace dress was found at Chantal’s Bridal. No detail was missed. Right down to their kernel corn favors which, by the way, created the most amazing popped corn I have ever tasted. The decadent meal was provided by Urban Prairie Cuisine. This fairy tale wedding ended with a miraculous fireworks show by Arch Angel Fireworks. I say miraculous because it had started raining that evening and Arch Angel didn’t miss a beat. Thanks to the amazing team work between Melanie, Arch Angel, and myself, we were able to view the show from inside the tent to keep everyone dry.
Alright, enough of my babble! I am so excited to finally present this extraordinary wedding to you. <3 A HUGE thank you to my right hand gal, Mallorey, who was my clone on this day. xoxo
