As we near the end of the 2016 season this post is slightly bittersweet as it was also our last wedding of 2016. Lindsay & Stephan came to me after their original photographer wasn’t able to do their wedding and though we didn’t do an engagement session, I really got to bond with them as planned and organized their wedding.
Lindsay & Stephan got married out in Niverville, Manitoba at the Niverville Heritage Centre that boasts a perfectly rustic solarium which our couple had both their ceremony and reception. A huge shout out to the staff who executed a perfect change around. 🙂 The color palette for this wedding was a soft sage green, cream, and grey which was perfect for the changing leaves outside.
After they both got ready, we organized a “First Look” for Lindsay & Stephan that actually involved them NOT seeing each other but exchanging notes and a few words. It was quite the moment when Stephan surprised Lindsay with a photo from when he proposed! She had no idea he had one of their friends hiding in a bush at the time. <3
One photo request that our couple had was a shot on an excavator as Stephan drives them for a living. Sure enough Stephan had arranged for one to be left in the parking lot of the Heritage Centre for us to use!! It was a perfectly unique way to bring a little of their everyday lives in to their photos. Here are some of our favorites!
